SASSA is going to be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it is alarmed in regards to the significant quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service issue designed for intervention experiences a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to help the servicing of all shoppers and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
